Underneath the Distributor Assembly, this spring keeps the Cam Follower against the Indexing Cam while the Carriage extends to 1, 5, and 6. If this spring needs to be overstretched or doubled- up to extend the Carriage, try shortening the belt or cleaning and repacking bearings in the 070 006 011 belt rollers.
